These test loads are great for testing different USB cables. If you have an electronic cable tester you can stress the cable even more to look for weak spots or cables that might get a little warm so you know what to rely on when you're out and about. I wanted this to work with a USB safety tester so I could check the actual capacity of batteries, cellphones, etc. This is so much better than finding all the parts and assembling them yourself! Works great, now I can tell what is needed to charge the cell, I can tell how much charge the battery can deliver.
