Wine Thief – Kitchen & Dining

Works as expected. It takes several puffs to fill the areometer test tube. Not sure why Revain has stars/ratings for 'flavor'. Feels very fragile.

Pros
  • High marks for support and durability from testers
Cons
  • Much

As stated in Kitchen & Dining

As promised. My only conclusion is that its diameter is too small to easily fill with a hydrometer (to measure specific gravity). Beer requires several "samples" to pass through O2.

Pros
  • Fingers crossed
Cons
  • Expensive

Good Stuff on Kitchen & Dining

Good product, the only downside is that it doesn't fit the neck of a medium sized bottle. That means I can't use it for anything other than a bucket. I wish the measurements, especially the width, were part of the product description.

Pros
  • Very good value for money
Cons
  • For seniors

It's good that it's made of glass, but it's a bit short.

, I thought I should add a photo of the thief. It is essentially a non-graded glass dropper. The cylinder with the red plastic caps is the protective plastic shell that the thief enters. In general, it's easy to use and clean, although a bit short.

Pros
  • Dope 🔥
Cons
  • Dear

Does the job best in home brewing and wine making

This little wine thief does a great job. You must use your thumb to close the open end to trap the liquid in the thief, and you simply remove your thumb when you're ready to pour the contents into your desired vessel. It doesn't take anything fancy to check your gravity readings, and it fits the bill perfectly (and you can't beat the price).

Pros
  • Got it!
Cons
  • No form required

Perfect glass thickness and smaller size

Exactly what I was looking for. Easy to use and decent glass thickness. I've seen some reviews that it's small compared to plastic wine thieves, but it works for my needs of filling a glass to measure gravity in my meads. I find it works well and is easy to control while being smaller. Arrived a little late because the item I ordered was returned by UPS because it was broken. Called Revain and they ordered me a new one so I had to wait another week but it came.

Pros
  • Dream come true
Cons
  • Mystery

It's a bit short. for cleaning and disinfecting

I took this because I need a glass thief. Well, I have a glass thief, but it's too short. It should be about 2 cm longer. If you plan on using it with a keg, forget it as kegs always have a vaporizer. When using with bottle everything is fine, but only when filling up to the neck. Of course it's fine if the wine has aged in the bottle, but if it's in the secondary fermentation I have some room as it's still a bit fizzy and can cause foam. It's a bit short at this stage. Yes I can still take…

Pros
  • quick change
Cons
  • almost never
