If you have a Prusa you have to assume that you will need a replacement hotend at some point. The factory warranty costs absolutely nothing and is not available for the 3s+ hotend. My printer suddenly had a problem with one good print to another failing. The thread feed gears made an excessive click. I tried my best to clean the system but couldn't.
