Broken tips

The tips of this end mill broke off after the first use. I had end mills in all price ranges that had never broken like this, even much cheaper ones. This happened to two of them of the same brand.

Works great for my application!

End Mill Perfect for my application! It makes a nice smooth cut while still retaining its sharp cutting edges very well. This is way better than the standard end mills I've used. Dealing with the supplier is also pleasant. I had some shipping issues which were resolved quickly with no hassles. Overall very happy with this product.

Works well with tool steel

I used this 1/2" carbide end mill to cut a free corner on O2 tool steel. HSS end mills cut this material but have to work very slowly. I was able to make it full length cuts 0.1 inch deep at 660 rpm and about 5 inches per minute. This was on a Bridgeport manual knee mill, so I turned by hand and timed the cuts with my wrist watch so the feed rate was approximate. For lighter cuts I could have increased the feed a bit. The cutter has held up well for the price and I would buy another one if…
