The perfect solution for my TJ!

This mount is well made and fits perfectly. I made longer spare tire spacers (using rubber mallet heads) to connect to the new larger spare tire that needs this mount to keep the spare from wobbling and putting too much pressure on the mount while riding. Now this is the perfect solution for a larger spare tire and a new rear bumper.

Pros
  • Easy to use

  • No automatic

Useful gadget with great design

Application: 1992 Jeep Wangler YJ. Installation is not difficult, but takes about 20 minutes. All well machined parts and the threaded part in the sheet metal are undamaged and lubricated with oil to facilitate screw insertion. Lift the tire and push it away from the tailgate. Allows me to open the sunroof window with 33" tires. Suitable for CJ and TJ, according to the instructions. I suggest using a ratchet wrench to speed up installation. Heads won't work.

Good product! suitable for exterior accessories

I used to mount a tire on the back. I decided to put the spare back in, but I knew my 35 x 12.5 x 18 wouldn't fit in the mount itself. This mover mount lifted my tire up and out so I could fit a spare tire. Easy installation, the hardest part was lifting my tire to put it back on the bracket. The tire sits a little farther from the jeep than we would like. But this kit serves its purpose. I cut off my third brake light and installed a round LED panel behind the steering wheel to use as my third

The adapter broke after a few months

The adapter looks good and solid at first glance. My Jeep Wrangler has 35 foot tires. While driving, the tire shook a little and shook more and more. So after a few months the tire started making noise when I drove. I checked that all the nuts and bolts were loose. I tighten everything and after a couple of weeks the tire started making a different noise. I checked again and found that the adapter was defective. See pictures for a better overview. I would not advise anyone to buy this cheap…

Will hit the factory spare tire mount when using 15 " rims

Good product. Basically the same as the others, just a little cheaper. Works great on my '99 Wrangler. that I still had the lock nut on the tire itself. The only issue I had was that they assume you will be using a large rim tire. I run regular 15" rims with a wider tire. The reason had to be that the tire was too thick to bolt onto a standard bracket. With a 235 rim and stock 15, the rim now ends up in the factory fixture because the Picked up the tire moved so far. However I was able to pick…

Very difficult. Good value for money

Bought to help the spare tire hit a newly installed AEV rear bumper. This will raise the tire up and back about 2 inches. Installation was easy and it doesn't rattle at all while driving. A few things a potential buyer would want to know. 1) Although there appear to be multiple provisions, there is only one provision for each application. Example: I have a 2013 Jeep JK. The bracket only fits in one set of holes, allowing for one movement position. Other holes are for other applications (e.g…
