Review on ๐Ÿ”ง EAG Spare Tire Relocation Bracket | Fits 1976-2018 Wrangler CJ YJ TJ JK | Ideal for Tires up to 35 Inches by Steven Notsinneh

Very difficult. Good value for money

Bought to help the spare tire hit a newly installed AEV rear bumper. This will raise the tire up and back about 2 inches. Installation was easy and it doesn't rattle at all while driving. A few things a potential buyer would want to know. 1) Although there appear to be multiple provisions, there is only one provision for each application. Example: I have a 2013 Jeep JK. The bracket only fits in one set of holes, allowing for one movement position. Other holes are for other applications (e.g. Jeep TJ).2) Nuts provided are 21mm. All other nuts are 19mm. The instructions say to use the old nuts to attach the bracket to the tire rack and then use the new nuts to attach the spare wheel. While this works, it means I need to have 2 different outlets to do a tire change. I pushed the instructions aside. I used 21mm nuts to attach the bracket to the tire mount and then just used my old nuts to attach my spare to the bracket. It works well. 3) I had powder coating residue on the threads making it difficult to install new tire studs without the risk of twisting the hole. To fix this I first inserted the screw from the front (easier to line up) and threaded the screw all the way through the hole to clean the threads. I then removed the bolt and inserted it from the back as instructed. Added some lock tite just in case. Worked great!
