Redwood Fence Project

Works great on our 150 foot redwood fence, just the right size. No nails sticking out the back of the 2x4, no sticking in our BostichFraming gun. Satisfied - I would buy again!

Pros
  • Industrial & Scientific
Cons
  • High Price

Good nails, reasonable price but I don't like plastic scraps

I bought these nails because I needed 2" galvanized nails to work with the fence. Find them elsewhere. Seems like 2" galvanized nails for nail guns are not easy to find nails work great I haven't had any jams but after making the 20ft fence I have to tell you it's a PAIN to go back and scrape the plastic off each nail too And since it's a bright orange color it's very obvious if you don't, so for a professional looking fence you MUST scrape the plastic off almost every nail you drive in. I wish

waste of time! in Fasteners

Designed for attaching picket fences to the fence frame. Unfortunately, once driven in, these nails leave an excessive amount of plastic on the nail head, making them very unsightly and unsuitable for a fence or any other outdoor project that needs to be aesthetically pleasing. I will not scrape plastic from 2000+ nail heads! Update: Went to HD and bought the Grip-Rite brand. Much better . Virtually no plastic is left on the nail head and they are cheaper!

Pros
  • Hot-dip galvanized coating, corrosion and rust resistant. For indoor and outdoor use. Designed for use in processed lumber
Cons
  • Expensive

Good nails, reasonable price but I don't like the leftover plastic

I bought these nails because I needed 2 inch galvanized nails to work with the fence work. to fill a need and I had a really hard time finding them anywhere else. It seems that 2 inch galvanized nail gun nails are not easy to find. Nails work great. I haven't had any traffic jams. But after making the 20 foot fence, I have to tell you, it's a PAIN to have to go back and scrape the plastic from every nail. And since it's a bright orange color, it's very obvious if you don't. So for aโ€ฆ

Cons

great nail Ideal length for fencing projects.

I don't know what the other reviewers have to say about the plastic left behind. I shot 1000's of them into a picket fence and 2x4 backing (only 2 inches thick) and these nails worked great. I set the compressor to about 60 pounds and the head of these nails sank a little below the surface of the picket fence with not a single point protruding through the backing. I have not yet seen plastic residue on nails or nail heads. I screwed picket fences and about three sections into an 8 foot tallโ€ฆ

Pros
  • Full round head
Cons
  • Unbelievable price
