Useless Addition to Automotive Suspension

This "Performance Parts: Shocks" product failed to deliver smoother driving experience despite claims on improving suspension. Rather, it worsened the already bumpy ride.

Great price, the mounts seem ok but the bearings are wrong.

Brackets are ok and as expected from a Ford Contour/Mercury Cougar. Unfortunately, the bearings don't even come close to matching the real bearings. The case is completely wrong. Luckily they are the correct overall diameter and I was able to open up the new bearings and the old bearings and carefully slide the innards into the old correct housing. I can't say how long they will last as I've only had them for a few weeks. Although the price was great.

Good bearings but no instructions.

I bought these when I was rebuilding the front suspension on my Ford 99 Contour. The plastic ring that fits into the rubber mount is not identical to what I had before. It came with no instructions but I assembled it after seeing the old one assembled. After that, it made a noise every time I turned the steering wheel. My mechanic neighbor told me that I needed to put some grease on the brackets because they rub against either the springs or the body. Over time the noise went away on its own…
