I have a Honda Shadow 750. When I first put them on they were tight. It only took 2 tools, an allen wrench and a flat head screwdriver. I had to drive (40 miles) to wear them out a bit but now they are perfect as they don't squeak and work as expected.

These pads seem really good at the moment. I would recommend them. They are very easy to install. The only problem I had was the hole at the bottom where the pen goes in. With the set I received, the pin didn't go into any of the holes on the pad. Upon closer inspection, it seemed to me that none of the holes were round. They were both slightly elongated.
