Super long but otherwise good seat post.

I don't know who will ever need a seat post that long unless their road bike is too big for them, but it's still a lot lighter than the seat post my Specialized Allez came with. So far it does what it's supposed to and doesn't bend badly or anything. No complaints from me really. Next time I'll look for a shorter one, but otherwise this will do.

Less than 10 miles driven

Broke on first ride. Only driven 9.5 km, all smooth. Hit a small bump at low speed - just started from a stop at a stop sign - and suddenly the seat seemed to tip over. I stopped thinking that I would have to tighten the clamp to prevent tipping (used the lower torque settings I found online as nothing came with the seatpost) and found that it had broken through what should be the strongest part. seat post, collar. Very disappointed

Extremely light and durable. And it looks good.

After 2 hard rides on very difficult terrain including rock gardens and rock jumps, the seat post is holding up well. As others have noted, adjusting the angle of the seat is a little tricky (I'm still fiddling with this) as there is a screw tightened from the top (under the seat). I was able to turn it slightly with needle nose pliers and then use the other screw you get from underneath for final tightening. It's very light and durable (so far). And it looks good.

Nice surprise

To be honest at first I thought it was an Easton EC90 seatpost. I was skeptical about the price so I read the reviews and decided to pull the trigger and buy it. Delivery was on time and nicely packaged. I checked the item, it was very light. I got on it and went for a hard and long ride on my hardtail on the trails. There were no problems and he could definitely handle the punishment. I've ridden it over 200km so far and it handled the Thompson Elite seatpost (which cracked) better. A highly…

Great quality, tough conditions, worth every penny

Yes, I took the $220 Xfusion seatpost off my bike to put this $25 Chinese carbon seatpost on, and couldn't be happier. It clearly copies Easton's EC90 name (the most expensive brand of carbon fiber sporting goods). Maybe the same factory sells cheaper, I'm not sure, but it looks similar in design. I bought this post because it had the thickest material around the set screw holes as well as the thickest neck of any other corner post in the $30 range. The carbon pen has thick walls for greater…

Clean assembly and easy operation = broken seat post!

Two of these seat posts broke despite careful assembly and little use (only asphalted neighboring roads). I now feel compelled to leave this review as a warning to others. Seatpost #1: About 50 miles after installation I noticed a vertical crack near the seatpost clamp. I was careful when installing using a torque wrench and fiber gel to avoid doing just that, but I had to guess what torque to use as the EC90 doesn't offer recommended torque specs. So I decided to go with the EC90, assuming I…

you get what you pay for; VERY flexible

Cheap full carbon seat post that fits perfectly. Note that this seatpost is VERY FLEXIBLE when riding. In my case, it flexes back and forth on bumps in the road and noticeably flexes side-to-side under heavy seat forces. You can even see it flex as you drive. (I'm 6ft, 180lbs and a very calm driver.) Very strange feeling. The result is some dampening of road vibrations, but I have to wonder how much that flexing puts stress on the seat tube and carbon frame linkage bolt. It flexes so much that…

Pros
  • Slim design
Cons
  • I don't like anything about it, everything is fine

Reliable and Affordable Carbon Needle with Tricky Clip

The $22 I paid for this needle is hard to beat. This, combined with the strong and stiff carbon tube construction, makes it worth it. I ended up trimming the length a bit to save even more grams, which is easy to do (just be careful). The only thing I don't like is the collar on the frame. On my first ride I thought it was tight, but hit hard on a rocky section of trail and the yoke lowered further with a disconcertingly loud click. like "crack". The angle of my seat also changed, so I had to…

Nice finish, lighter than expected.

Preview: Haven't ridden yet but wanted to make a first impression: Weight measured on digital scale: 174 grams. Good finishes and graphics. a saddle with a hole or cut to allow you access to one of the adjustment screws. While it's useful and convenient to access the front hex from the top, as long as you can adjust the seat-side bolt with your fingers, you don't need to be able to access the top with a tool.
