I installed this on my 2017 GMC Sierra 2500 Denali. Cut about 12" off the factory tab then put it right on top and tighten the screw but that didn't help. won't tighten enough so i welded it on and it looks fine.

It took a long time to find one for my truck which is a new Silverados with a Duramax diesel engine and a huge exhaust pipe. It already has a 5" input, so I don't need more than a 6" output. The socket fits so perfectly that only a hex wrench was needed to tighten it. Dressed in five minutes.

Pulled it out of the box and was very impressed with the look and weight/feel of this exhaust tip. Not thin at all. Maybe a little more than I imagined. The standard exhaust on the 2018 GMC Sierra with the 6.6-liter diesel has a 5-inch tailpipe. This 5" inlet fits perfectly and the 6" outlet looks amazing. I almost bought a 7 inch exhaust but I'm glad I didn't. 't. I cut off about 14 inches of the original exhaust pipe, put this tip on and tightened the clamp. Couldn't be happier.

This exhaust tip is great, the fit and finish is very impressive. I installed this tip on my 2019 GMC Sierra 2500HD Duramax Diesel. If you're looking to polish up that ugly exhaust on your new Duramax trucks, look no further, this tip will help. I trimmed the factory pipe a bit by cutting it at an angle to match the angle of the new tip.
