Purchased in December 2017. They were easy to install and I was happy with them at first. However, after about a month, they stopped raising the tailgate in wintry temperatures. (30 degrees or so). Also now that Spring is here and the temps are 60, 70, 80 they work fine when they go up but when closed (our tailgate is automatic) it slams shut from about the last 12 inches or so. No soft close like last December. Very disappointed in them and do not recommend.

Pros
  • Easy to read control panel
Cons
  • Blank

Quick installation, Torx key required.

Fits my wife's 2006 caravan perfectly. As other reviews have said, be sure to keep the washers from the original lift legs, they are not included with this kit. At the same time, the original washers are optimally matched to these supports. I don't remember exactly but I think they needed a torx screwdriver but I don't remember the size. I didn't have anyone holding the tailgate open so I used 2 x 4's which worked really well if not perfectly. It was a quick install and my wife is very happy…

Next time I will study the warranty and returns information better.

Pleased with the price until 5 months after my husband installed it one side started hissing and a week later the trunk wouldn't hold open at all. The goal is very heavy without a functioning lifting support! I contacted the seller about the 1 year warranty and found that it is in fact a 4 month warranty and after that you will need to send the defective product back to them (at your expense). They will fix it and send it back, or you can buy the product for a small discount. . The feeling of…

Pros
  • Great for me
Cons
  • boring packaging

I'm having a problem with the tailgate on my 2007 Town & Country in cold weather. Worse, after he peaks and decides not to STAY, the tailgate begins to lower and is very, very difficult to stop. This is likely a Chrysler defect because if a child or pet were to bend down or grab something they would be trapped to the point where it would take every ounce of strength I could muster to pull it back out ! Creepy! I hope these new strut mounts will alleviate the problem. If not, I have to disable…

Pros
  • Great for a small home

Worse than useless.

The gas rack was pressurized by the manufacturer. Install these racks and your back door may not close. The frames they sent me are RIGID and non-compressible. In addition, Chrysler sealed the original brackets with Loctite. Note; You may find that unscrewing these posts can damage the fasteners they are attached to. Make yourself a wooden or PVC support that fits into the recess of the inside handle. The rod should go to the bumper cover and measure for a tight fit. An easy alternative to a…

Pros
  • Stable test results
Cons
  • No automatic

are softer metal. If you don't have the right angle, rip them off. BUT, if you have DODGE/CHRYSLER OEM bolts, you can simply unbolt the ball joint bracket from the old strut and bolt it onto the new block. Had to do this with one of mine because it was defective from the factory but I knew the mounts were good but the old ones had the post dead. Their new item randomly. As other people have said, install on the van first and then on the sunroof. Also grab a solid TORX T40 bit. I used one for…

  • Very impressive

Someone or something to hold the door because it's heavy!

First you need a torx driver to remove the old torx screws, then you need someone or something to support the door while you remove the old jambs and install the new jambs, I have it didn't nobody could help me so i used a 2x6 or 2x8 board, she stuck it. Overall I'd say it's a bit of work installing them yourself but rest assured that whatever you do don't cross or tear off the new posts, also the old plastic washers from the old posts will need new ones. They weren't included, just take them…

Pros
  • Sturdy construction
Cons
  • Gotcha
