Do not buy this if your dog is not trained.

I bought this for my Italian greyhound who only sleeps in it at night or because she wants to be around when the door is open. She likes being in her cage and I think she likes this one even more because it's very similar to a hideout. She will never scratch or bite her cage unless she *really* needs to get out. Think: left there for 12 hours. Look at the photos. If your dog is not fully cage trained and loves being in a cage, DO NOT BUY THIS CAGE. There are many testimonials and photos showing

Not worth the money

I bought this out of a wire metal box for an improved look. While it looks better than a wire box, that's about the only good thing I can say about it. The cage door can be opened towards the cage. So if your dog pushes the door to get in, you can't close it until the dog comes back, pushes the door open, and then puts the dog back inside. The box can be opened with a pen and there are gaps between the side walls and the bottom where a pup's fingernail can get caught. The description says 'ECOโ€ฆ

Make it great with your own metal brackets.

First and foremost we wanted the box to be as safe as possible for our pup. The breeder warned against wire boxes because the puppy's teeth and claws could get caught in the "bars" of the wire boxes. Since this model with its vertical bars and smooth sides was an eye-catcher - and looks really fantastic. In terms of construction, it could use a little help - it's a hard plastic resin that conforms great and stiffens when it's all put together. But with plastic latches and very minimal cornerโ€ฆ
