In the Salt Lake City area of Utah, the air is horribly polluted in winter due to the inversion phenomenon, and the rest of the year pollen is stifling. This particular filter has a carbon impregnation that the original does not have; It is very effective at trapping odors. Installation took less than five minutes. It's too easy to do it yourself compared to extortion at the dealership ($90).

It's fair to point out in this review that it fits a 19 Chevy Equinox because when I asked Revain to find me a cabin air filter that would fit my particular machine , this one appeared. BUT the instructions that came with it told me how to change the cabin air filter in my Cadillac which unfortunately isn't the car I had. The instructions were too different, but that's the point. However, I managed to replace the cabin filter and it fitted perfectly. A good product!

There are no complaints about the quality of the product. I installed this in my 2017 Volt. Accessing the filter behind the glove box was painful. I had to undo 5 screws and pry off the panel hoping not to break it. Once this is done, installing the filter is very easy. Just make sure you place it in the correct orientation.
