I've seen people have problems with leaks during installation! If you overtighten I hand tighten, then about 1/4 turn. Start and check the engine.

Used on my 1996 F-250 Power Stroke. No problem. No leaks. This is the first that required a 1" socket instead of a 1/2" extension, which was actually easier.

Lid does not close properly. I was driving through Death Valley and I smelled diesel fuel and my truck was leaking fuel. I had to wrap it in a rag, lug it home and buy a new filter. don't buy that. Squeeze money and get gram torture

I decided to try this brand on my 7.3 '97 F350 as I have been using this brand on my Fiat for the oil and air intake since 2016 with no problems. Installation was easy, it was installed by hand - tighten, then a quarter turn with a box wrench. No leaks, no problems, just remember to lubricate the o-ring when installing.
