🔧 Enhanced Throttle Lever Adapter by Edelbrock (1483) Review

Works well and does what it's supposed to, but the gas return spring is too weak. I ended up going for a much more expensive one with the ability to adjust the spring rate and an integrated throttle cable mount.

Perfectly matched to my C4 drivetrain along with kickdown lever extension. (1977 F100, 1406 Edelbrock) still required an electronic clamp and one screw was too long. Update (08/152016): Connected well but couldn't get it to work properly. I just switched to a Lokar cable that works great.

For the Ford C4 and C6 Trans, Edelbrock never mentioned any of this so what turned out to be a one day job turned into a three week job because none of those things except carbs before location was available.

Edelbrock must be one of the highest quality companies. This linkage kit went straight on and worked great with a 1411 carb. Heck the carb increased the mileage on my 460 from 11 with the engine to a solid 14, if I tweak it now I think I could maybe get 15.5. I love Edelbrock parts!

It doesn't fit my truck, I didn't seem to read that it's for eco-friendly vehicles. It looks like it's almost working. The carburetor is too low, too far from the driver and too far forward. I leave it at that and manually shift into gear when needed. I'm giving it 5 stars for the build quality and it looks like it will work on PPV. Cannot return as the bottom hole was cut off to remove the remains of the heat riser.
