🔧 Upgrade Your Engine's Efficiency with Edelbrock 8089 Carburetor Inlet Fitting Review

Used this on my Edelbrock 1406 to run a rubber line from my existing stock line and fit onto a new carburetor. Works well and doesn't leak so that's an added bonus.

I hate that Edelbrock lowered the price and started using plastic washers. It was leaking like crazy and the plastic was being squeezed/pinched. Replaced it with a 20 year old brass washer lying around from an old carburetor and the problem was solved.

This 8089 inlet fitting is for my 500cc Edelbrock Performer carburetor. Intake manifold (which is higher than the stock manifold).

This 8089 intake for my Edelbrock Performer 500cfm 4bbl carburetor along with a 2" tall Edelbrock 1218 air cleaner element gave me the clearance I needed under the hood after installing the Performer intake manifold (which is taller than the stock manifold ).

This fitting makes a high-quality impression and works great with my filter element. Four stars because I'm disappointed it's not made in the good old USA as advertised. Mine came from Taiwan. That being said next time I would use the Edelbrock 8131 fuel line which also solves the flip base problem and looks stylish on your engine.

First Edelbrock should include this in their carburetor. The straight fuel line that comes with the carburetor will not work with most standard breathers as they will hit the fitting or fuel line. But this banjo is only good for one occasion. straight down. Otherwise you will have to grind off extra material from the carburetor to fit it in at the right angle.
