Great access point for everyone

Works well. Even when using the NMS Suite installed on the access point in combination with wireless communication. I haven't noticed any performance issues and the range is amazing. Edit: Having run Hotspot for over 6 months there are definitely things that make me wish I had chosen a different product. It still works reliably for real connected devices. The built-in NMS package doesn't work as well as I had hoped. I have a second hotspot that does this and periodically disconnects from the…

Pros
  • Integrated Power over Ethernet (802.3af and 802.3at)

One of my worst access points in a long time

Well I've had a few wireless access points over the years - Ubiquiti, Engenius, Cisco etc - and this Edimax has to have one my least pleasant experiences. I won't go into all the details so I'll try to make this review useful for other people who are thinking about it; Pros: 3x3 dual band radio, 802.3at POE support, integrated NMS. Lots and lots of detailed options to customize. Cons: admin is terrible (takes 20-60 seconds to apply a change and you have to do it after each change), no range…

Pros
  • Simple and intuitive Central Network Management (NMS) package
Cons
  • Hard to say

Terribly unreliable

I got one of these and the signal strength was terrible even from a few feet away. I sent the device back with a small problem. I've been working on a replacement for a few months and it's just as bad. Unfortunately, the first return from Revain timed out while I was troubleshooting to ensure the issue was not on our end. The signal keeps dropping out. It doesn't matter if you use 2.4GHz or 5GHz. They drop out together. I dried all the different channels, nothing matters. Unfortunately I spent…

best bang for your buck.

I love this thing. I have 3 of them that switch seamlessly from one to the other as they walk around the house. Not a single slow or dead center. More than 15 wireless devices from photos to tablets and TVs handle traffic like a champ. Love the fact that I can use POE and not have to be near an outlet. Installation is slow, but don't touch it normally after installation.

Pros
  • 802. 11AC dual band, high speed up to 1200Mbps
Cons
  • Volume

best business hotspot i have ever used

amazing product with easy setup and management console. I work with many wireless access points. Edimax WAP1750 offers better speed and range. There is an additional LAN port for another PoE device. I would highly recommend it over other hotspots I've had my fill of in the past.

Pros
  • fast roaming, wide coverage and high sensitivity
Cons
  • embarrassing
