No access to the battery compartment

We did not rate the toy because we encountered an unexpected problem. We couldn't open the drill's battery compartment with a standard slotted or Phillips screwdriver. With a magnifying glass we couldn't tell what kind of bit is needed. This may be a unique issue, but the comments suggest they have had problems with the drill in the past. Note. This item is not automatically returned like most Revain products are. The store must verify the reason for the return and then issue an authorization.

I can't see the pattern under the grille

My 4 year old daughter loves to help her father fix/build around the house so is no stranger to power drills and using screwdrivers/wrenches. We thought this set would suit her and be a safer toy drill option than a real one. She likes it a lot but prefers to create her own patterns rather than following the ones provided as the pattern is barely visible under the mesh. The drill itself is pretty weak / wasn't as strong as we expected. The kit itself is very good though - quality parts and it…

Broken drill is good for needlework

Bought a design development center and drill for Christmas shopping to save for my son's 3rd birthday in early May. I knew when I saw that he would like it. My happy 3 year old was in the box as soon as he unpacked it. However, the drill does not work. We followed the battery installation instructions with the new Energizer AA batteries - nothing. Very disappointed that I had planned to have high hopes for this product beforehand only to find that the main title element, the drill, does not…

It looks like a used item even though I ordered a NEW one!

I was very pleased with this item as I plan to give it to my son for his birthday in 2 days. It seemed like a fun and educational gift. I bought it as new. However, when I received it, the package looked disgusting and used! See attached photos! All 4 corners of the box are frayed/torn/worn. The box looks very worn, like someone has opened the box a million times. There is a brown spot on the front of the box. There is a stain on the back of the box as if a liquid has soaked the box. When you…

A creative and fun toy for kids of all ages!

We already have the design and drill set so I knew my kids would love this activity center and I was right! My 4.5 and 2.5 year old girls enjoyed creating different designs and I enjoyed watching them take turns using drills and screwdrivers. There are 20 activity cards in this set so my 4.5 year old loved choosing activity cards and creating them on the board. I love that it helps them work on their fine motor skills and also teaches them to share, count, practice their colors and be creative!

The game is ready to play, but the drill requires 3 AA batteries.

At first glance my son wasn't interested. But it's very picky and was already focused on something else when I first showed it. But once I piqued his interest, he quickly understood how these tools work. My son is mildly autistic and often gets frustrated if he doesn't think things through right away. But that didn't bother him at all. Initially I didn't have the three AA batteries needed for the drill, but it also came with a screwdriver head with various bits that work in both the handle and…

Great toy for all times!

Bought this toy for a 5 year old child. He has autism and loves tool toys. When we opened it he got a huge grin on his face. Absolute hit with it! My 3 year old daughter was DEAD on the turn and she loves using it too. Surprisingly even my 19 month old daughter can join her older siblings. She puts pins in the holes for them. Weapons. There are also hand tools that are great exercise for little ones too. I also use it to practice taking turns with 3 and 5 year olds. Everyone has to drill a…
