Took less than a day

It was easy to connect and it seemed to work well. It worked from noon the first day, but when I got up the next day the current usage screen was just a dash. The history screens are shown fine, but not the current usage. It looks like there is no WiFi as the connection icon is not showing. I checked the batteries, they are fine, I tried to repair the network using the instructions on the support site, but the device did not connect. I sent an email to support. and I'm waiting for an answer. I…

Inaccurate for home automation devices

The kWh readings are more constant at 0.50-0.60 kWh than the actual consumption. When all appliances, TVs, fans, etc. are off when 0.50 - 0.60 kWh is registered. Compared to the consumption meter, it shows a daily consumption of +7.0 to 10.0 kWh per day. The disadvantage of this point is that you cannot set the monthly usage day to the utility billing date. I've tried all sorts of ways to contact the seller to no avail. The meter shows more than the actual consumption compared to the…

Great meter but there may be an issue with the installation.

We love using this power meter. Now I can see the impact of different units on power consumption. However, be very careful with a perfect installation guide. Most panels do NOT have the main power wires in an accessible location to install the power coils in the panel. My 125A panel is only two years old. All cables from the meter to the panel are bare busbars on the back and sheathed to protect fingers. So I had to open the dashboard side of the panel. Only do this if I'm a certified…

Works perfectly. Does exactly what it advertises, what it does.

Works great. The transmitter sits in a metal switch box outside and the receiver works perfectly in my two-story, 4,000-square-foot home. Does exactly what it advertises, what it does. The design and feel of the receiver is pleasant. One complaint: the backlight stopped working on the 2nd day. Don't worry because there is no backlight, which means the batteries will last much longer. I can still read the display, just not in the dark. i still love him Now I'm buying another one to read my sub…

Whole House Electrical Surveillance System Working

I used this to track where my electricity bills are going and it's easy to spot when you look at the watt-hours you're using. The numbers tell the story! You can turn the lights, computers, TVs, etc. on and off and see how much something draws. How accurate is that? Well, I don't have any scientific testing, but from my rough calculation of the number of bulbs installed and when I switch something on and off, it seems very accurate and at least takes some getting used to reducing energy use in…

  • Absolutely Amazing!

  • Available in white only.

This device easily pays for itself in feature savings.

I bought this primarily to determine how much portable generator I would need to power my house in the event of a power outage. I've been using this for over a year and a half now and it's been interesting to see what effects all my different devices produce at different times of the year. I have a base load of about 500 watts all the time (even in the middle of the night when all normal stuff is off). With normal daily activities we stay between 1-6 kW. Since I have a 4500w electric water…

  • not reliable

It will be very useful to me!

This is a great product for monitoring the energy consumption of some or all of your household appliances. I needed to know why my energy use was so much higher than everyone else in my area. ComEd visited me several times but I was not happy with their conclusions. So I bought 2 sensors and installed them. I'm a mechanical engineer, so opening the main panel wasn't new to me. But if you do NOT understand "electrician" then ask an electrician to install it. It takes no more than 10 minutes…

  • Crumpled packaging

Great device. The dual sensor version monitors overall performance.

Great product. The dual sensor version monitors the total power consumption of a typical 120/240V switchboard. You must be very careful when working on the switchboard, even when the main switch is off. The panel will still have power unless you call an electrician or utility for a temporary shutdown. If you cannot handle potentially lethal voltages, consult an electrician to install the sensors. After installing the sensors, it was very easy to set up the transmitter and receiver/control…
