Item came fully charged so I used it until the battery died which lasted about 30 days. The product did not load. I tried returning the product but it only has a 30 day guarantee which is handy and a sign of the quality of the product. You know it won't take more than 30 days. Next time I will buy a product with a better guarantee if the company believes in quality.

They have real flames and the magic is that they don't use any fuel. Much better than a butane lighter. We use ours with a gas stove where the clicker lighter is no longer reliable. The battery lasted about 2 weeks before needing a charge, charging was quick. Fortunately, a charging cable was included. Happy with the product.

This is a really cool gadget. Works in wind. It works well when fully charged and easy to use when lighting a candle. The reason for the 3 stars is that the ignition of the wick exposes the igniter to corrosion. This leads to ignition failures. The battery life isn't that great either. There is a battery indicator. This lighter is a mini stun gun, ideal for small spaces. The battery life is pretty good. Not the best, but not the worst either. For reference, I light candles with it several times a day (because I blow out one after a few hours and then light another to mix them up). I get about 5 days of battery life on 3 wicks a day (15 uses if you do the math.) Then it goes back to 1 light bar and I fill up. At first I thought we left the switch on between the lights, but it just stops when it's all off. In an emergency, do not rely on it! I suspect USB has the benefit of using a rechargeable battery for backup, but look elsewhere for something with better battery life. 2 stars because it technically works, but I don't get 500+ bulbs out of the battery as written.

Before this purchase I always used regular candle lighters and even the blowtorch version of lighters. I'm tired of the liquid leaking out. This device is great. It holds a charge for a long time and takes a very short time to charge. LED indicators show the battery level. The top can flex to work well with candles that are deep in the holders.
