Cheaper and better options

I'm an electrician and they were on our tool list. Basically everyone says it's bullshit and ends up getting another pair. There are much cheaper, cut better. You cannot cut the strands of wire and eventually the sprint will break.

Pros
  • Great design
Cons
  • Out of style

Not for electronic work.

These flashlights were advertised for working with electronics, for stripping small wires on circuit boards. Not correct! The dies cannot cleanly cut even a piece of #26 copper wire. You just puree it flat. They might be fine for home use, but the $30 price tag is clearly overpriced. I should have gone for Xcelite or Swanstrom which are even more expensive but at least they work.

Pros
  • Pleasant to use
Cons
  • Almost everything is fine

Made in the USA. Taiwan seems better

I swore to my son, a Lexus mechanic, that there was no better carver in the world than Klein. I ordered them for Christmas and the picture says it all. Garbage out of the box! The tool is replaced with a pair of excellent quality Taiwanese cutters that I will buy from the store. Now I understand why America is lagging behind in the manufacturing world.

Pros
  • Great for me
Cons
  • Everything is great

Replaced the same size Klein Midget Electronics side cutters I got 42 years ago (1976) at my first job in electronics. I must have used the old one to cut things I shouldn't have (nails) and the blade deformed there. I was using the old one for some very delicate work and found I needed a new one.

Pros
  • nice thing
Cons
  • I don't remember but there was something

Precision work made easy, beware plastic handles

High quality precision cutting head. The big problem with miniature style pens is that plastic pens spoil within a few months from oils, grease, chemicals etc. This pair of pins became brittle and simply chipped in cold weather. Other small pens became very soft and sticky. If your application does not involve harsh chemicals, this is a good choice. A similar pair I have, with a better grip material, costs almost three times more than these, no difference on average. I gave a guarantee on siteโ€ฆ

Pros
  • Very fast delivery
Cons
  • Wrinkled

Everything would be fine but this terrible spring.

I like them a lot and use them a lot. True, in the spring it is necessary to remove the star - spring is terrible. It's a shame that the spring couldn't have been installed better. Use them for an hour and the spring will pop out and bind and bend during use. After that you can pull the spring from the other side and discard it. Of course, these knives also work well without a spring; It would only be nice if they were fully functional. I mainly cut soft (copper) wire so I can't comment onโ€ฆ

Pros
  • Great price
Cons
  • Big and chunky
