The Elegant Yarns Kaleidoscope Yarn Sun Rise is simply not worth the hassle. While it is marketed as a colorful and vibrant yarn for Arts and Crafts projects, the inconsistent texture and rough feel of the yarn make it difficult to work with. Thanks to my knowledge gained in practice, I was able to complete my project, but the end result was disappointing. The colors did not blend well and the overall look was unappealing. Save yourself the trouble and invest in higher quality yarn.

My recently purchased skein had areas where the strands were knotted and there was no gradual color change like there should be. Also, some parts of the thread were much thinner than the rest of the yarn.

I bought twelve different colors of Elegant Yarns Kaleidoscope. Nobody disappointed me. Each of them is a pleasant surprise. Surprising as the picture of the skein doesn't always show the full color scheme. But they are beautifully designed. I wonder who is the designer? Excellent work! I use this yarn for felting projects. Fits well in the hand, soft and supple. That feels great to me. Some strands had a knot or two, but most didn't.
