My daughter was in heaven

This summer we went to Cape Cod for quarantine vacation. Three weeks in paradise but no friends or family to play with. I bought this kit to give my daughter something to do while we relax with reading books and living a vacation life off the grid. she loved it. The colors were perfect, it was a great starter kit. While not the strongest plastic, it stores all filament neatly and is easy to carry. Before that, we had large ziplock bags full of loose threads that would tangle and fall apart…

Good enough for me!

After reading other reviews I was concerned my box would be damaged but luckily it was intact! The bonus items appear quite cheap and look dirty and scratched like they have been used before. The tape measure also had hair on it so I would recommend washing it in soapy water just in case! Thread for embroidery is not bad! It's similar in texture to the purple DMC thread I have, but it's not as shiny and a little more fuzzy. It tends to wear out a bit more but I haven't used it enough to be sure

Worth the price

I bought this to get rid of boredom during the pandemic, mainly to make friendship bracelets on the nostalgia alley. I was very happy with what I got for the price - I spent a lot more to buy the floss separately AND had to wind it on the spools myself. I agree that the kit isn't very durable, but I had low expectations for the price and it serves its purpose perfectly - I've had no issues with mine. There are so many beautiful colors for making bracelets and the thread may not be very suitable

Is it possible to order threads of a specific color? No.

After reading some reviews I was afraid to get a broken case, but I received the package perfectly. The case is not only very cute but also functional. I didn't look at all the threads, but when using the yellow thread, I noticed that most colors come in pairs. This works great for me - until I ran out of the yellow one I was using for my cross stitch project and needed more thread. Excellent case, it costs nothing inside

So. I needed thread and needles to start the project and this seemed like an easy choice. Young. was. I'm wrong The ONLY good thing about it is that it has a decent case that can hold some of my sewing supplies. The thread is useless and keeps breaking when you try to thread the needle. The needles will break in half if you try to use them on a project where you will be sewing for more than 20 minutes at a time (I'm a bead embroiderer and have already broken 6).
