Picks up weak AM stations without a lot of background electromagnetic interference like other radio stations with a digital DSP display.

Great radio with digital DSP display, does everything I need from my equipment including picking up weak AM stations. really nice device to use, thanks. Works well on all bands and can receive both 2 local NOAA stations and remote NOAA stations over 100 miles away!

Many functions - radio sensitivity is not great (ability to receive signals)

maybe I have a problem. I received it today and all functions seem to work fine. However: the radio sensitivity is weak on ALL frequencies (AM / FM / weather). couldn't get any. Poor FM reception. AM isn't very good either, and selectivity (rejection of unwanted signals) is poor. The AM receiver actually modulated the logic circuit at 790 AM (I had it charged with a USB AC-DC converter).
