A nice treat for your birds.

The birds loved this little package of treats. After spraying it near my bird bath, so many birds came to me to try these delicious bits. They sound rough but have no smell.

Pros
  • Great for me
Cons
  • Incredible piggy bank

My tortoises would give it five stars

Tall squirrel as promised - I used this to open a Revain bag while driving and a bunch of black bugs jumped on me. It was a real experience :-) When I got home there were still a few black bugs in the bag and my turtles ate them all, among the mealworms. I think my turtles would give it five stars. I met one for an unexpected bug intrusion into a car.

Good Quality Mealworms

- I also got a 5.5 lb box of Soldier Fly (BSF) larvae for $30 which birds also seem to love. My hamsters prefer mealworms but are used to BSF larvae. This will save you big bucks in bulk if BSF suits you. "However, if you just want a small bag of mealworms, this is perfect. "They're mostly whole (not a lot of crumbs and pieces), they're mostly over an inch in size, and hamsters think they're delicious!

Pros
  • Hands Free
Cons
  • Volume

These mealworms are a little more broken than I expected and other bags I saw in the store could happen during transit , I think I was shipped with two other items in the box. I bought them for a chicken treat, yes the whole bag was gone in no time, the broken pieces are good for the chickens who will still eat the crumbs. I have reviewed bags of similar weight and they are comparable in price. This size is a good way to experiment with it and see if your birds like it, then I would suggest…

Pros
  • Quality construction
Cons
  • Sundries

Finally I go to the yard as a blue bird!

I didn't know how to add them to my feeding schedule, so I sprinkled some on the ground next to a tree in an area frequented by robins, blue jays, catbirds, common grackles and mourning doves. I knew we had thrushes in the area but didn't see dried mealworms until a week after I started propagating MERIC mealworms for birds. I have found that most of my seed feeding friends also like these mealworms and I am aware of the benefits. They disappear from the ground within a few hours. I will…
