I should have read the reviews before buying

I hope you are smarter than me and read this before buying. Let me be as clear as possible. Skip this purchase. They say new and have a date of 12/2022, but the first two I've tried in smoke detectors gave a low battery alarm as soon as I installed them. They are rubbish, they came in a small box, unsealed, not new, DO NOT BUY THESE

Pros
  • Best in my niche
Cons
  • I will add later

Made in Malaysia ENERGIZER Certified - Legal/Industrial Packaging

I received my 8 pack in clear plastic. All marked "Not for Retail" and "Made in Malaysia". I opened an online chat session with Energizer and spoke to Steve at Energizer who confirmed: ------------------ Steve : This is our industrial packaging. Me: ok, are they real then? Steve: They are real. ------------------ All tests showed excellent results from 9.45V to 9.54V - see pictures. This is the E522 model tested for Kidde smoke alarms purchased 5/2020 EXP Shows 12/2024

Pros
  • Absolutely Amazing!
Cons
  • Not bad but...

The batteries were not new.

My family and I have lived in my house for almost 12 years. I have seven smoke alarms and recently found that I have only replaced a few batteries over the years. So I ordered new batteries to replace them all at once just to be safer. identification stickers on them. I remember telling my husband I didn't like it because I had no guarantee they were new. He told me it made more sense because the packaging was a waste of time anyway. I shrugged my shoulders. About a week later I replaced them…

Pros
  • Robust design
Cons
  • Not automatic
