Good, but can be finicky

I'm very pleased with this unit. It's exactly what I needed for a basement hallway. It senses great, actuates predictably (most of the time) and was almost no trouble installing. The only issues I have with it are as follows:1. The PIR lens doesn't like to stay in place. It's very easy to inadvertently make it fall off.2. The relay that actuates the light is pretty loud when it actuates. If my ceiling were taller perhaps the sound wouldn't be so loud but I would think there would be some way to

Pros
  • Work just as good as the namebrand
Cons
  • Difficulty in finding replacement parts or repair services

Choo! Choo! best in my review

Come on and ride this occupancy sensor train and make that taint tingle ever so slightly. Oh yeah, works good other than the motion detection is hit or miss sometimes.

Pros
  • Very inexpensive, very well made, you must use a 4" octogan box. Other than that it works very well.
Cons
  • Higher installation costs due to required professional installation

Works as advertised but cover is junk

Works as advertised The little baby plastic clips that hold a cover on snapped off so now the cover doesn’t go on….kinda annoying

Pros
  • Works just fine. But will not fit into a single gang box, has to be round.
Cons
  • check your amperage because this unit is only for low apps

Good hands free switch.

Switch works as advertised. Response time is a little slow compared to other switches but appears to work just fine. Not overly sensitive for short time cycles. Shuts off and then turns back on with movement. With longer times it works fine.

Pros
  • Works well. Range is average. A decent motion sensor.
Cons
  • Limited compatibility with existing wiring systems

DO NOT BUY - my new review

Expected a wide range of motion sensitivity. Did not get. Had professional electricians come and install and test and need a lot more units than the specs say. Every 6-8 feet you need one. Would have loved for Customer Service to reach back out.

Pros
  • Works as advertised.
Cons
  • Sensor may not detect movement in all areas of the room

Poor motion sensing and design

Motion detection is poor in a 22 x 24 garage. I have also looked high and low for a round electrical box it will fit in! Have tried all kinds and no joy.very frustrating! Do not recommend.

Pros
  • works great. Lots of adjustment.
Cons
  • Potential for unwanted activation, such as when pets are in the room

ONLY FITS IN CERTAIN J-BOXES!

The price is decent, but the thing that I truly found frustrating was at a nowhere does it tell you that the only type of box that will house this sensor is a octagon box. Originally I installed foursquare boxes with mud rings in the ceiling during the construction phase. When it came time to trim out and install the sensors, I found out the hard way that not a single mud ring will house this sensor. Not a two gang mud ring, not a single gang mud ring nor a round 4/0 mud ring.So then my next…

Pros
  • Good sensors for the price
Cons
  • Not a very good range.

Closet light on my review.

I purchased this light so that when I walk into our storage closet the light would go on for me automatically as most of the time Im going in I have my hands full and end up tripping on things trying to get to the light. I would recommend the light for this exact situation or any space that someone needs a light to go on for them. I found that the light was easy for me to install and did not require much knowledge of electricity to do so which was important.

Pros
  • I like it!
Cons
  • Possible interference with other electronic devices

Stopped working on my review.

Installed in garage. Worked well for a couple days. Now you have move around a lot or wave arms to get lights to come on. Thanks for attention.

Pros
  • Fast, as described
Cons
  • Limited effectiveness in rooms with a lot of furniture or obstructions

Revainrating 1 out of 5

Very slow to pick up motion , quit after 2 months.

Never worked correctly. Very slow to recognize motion, several seconds of waving. Would also turn off and back on after a few seconds. After a couple months quit completely. Don’t waste your money!

Pros
  • works perfect.
Cons
  • Higher initial cost compared to standard switches

Working Great best in my review

Had a different brand (cheaper) and returned it. This one was standard install and has been working fine for about a month.

Pros
  • Works great!
Cons
  • Increased risk of electrocution or electric shock during installation or maintenance

There is a delay before it turns the lights on.

They work very well in the bathrooms that I installed them in. Each unit controls the lights and fan in each room. The time & sensitivity is adjustable over a good range. Somewhat uncomfortable delay before the lights come on of 2-3 seconds.

Pros
  • good product
Cons
  • Increased dependence on technology, limiting manual control options

motion sensitivity is weak

Bought and installed this unit on an 8' high ceiling. The device only turns the lights on when the 'motion" is within 8' or so of the device. I have tried adjusting the settings on the unit but it does not make it better. I have also tested this performance failure from several different approach angles and all work about the same, that is to say at roughly 8' from the unit. I need it to activate at roughly 15'. On top of that the device installs into the electrical box, so if your box is at…

Pros
  • They seem to be working good..
Cons
  • May not work well in larger or irregularly shaped rooms
