If you are working on the latest Fusion, Lincoln, Ford etc, it will make your job easier. This is how the engine shield is attached to the frame. The red nylon nuts snap around the bottom of the motor and screws make it easy to reattach the shield.

I used them because the factory ones were removed because my car didn't need to remove the under engine cover to change the oil. They got up straight away and the red parts are exactly the same as the factory parts. The bolts were a bit shorter and the washers too small for my application, but I just reused the factory bolts. Now you don't have to worry about the lid falling off.
