Updat 12/14/15-Maker got back to me within one day and has offered to send a replacement. They have also asked for a video of issue. I spent a good amount of time with the mirror trying to capture the "buzz" on video and have failed to recreate the issue. The only thing I found during that time was, when the lights are on, if you apply light pressure on the lighted mirror, the lights turn off. Relevant? I don't know. I had an almost identical item but it needed batteries. I used it for years but recently the top light stopped working. This new travel mirror can be charged, and it comes with a charging cord and a carrying bag. I haven't traveled with it yet, but it looks promising.

The magnification is perfect, the light is very bright which makes tweezing your brows or doing any kind of makeup small detail work so easy. I think its a great size for travel. Really like the mirror. It was a little larger than I thought but will be great as a travel mirror. Directions were not very good on how to install batteries. It was quite a challenge and took about 15 minutes until we figured it out. The bottom piece twists off by inserting a small screwdriver into the small slot and turning. I don't know why I expected this mirror to be smaller. It is a good size but still not a huge mirror for travel. The light is great, the mirror is clear and it charges fast. No complaints

i bought it as gift for someone. it is rechargeable 1x.10x mirrors with light. I recommend this product. The magnifying mirror does not have a high-quality reflective surface.

I love this compact! I chose it over a free standing mirror to place on the dresser. I didn't really have room for a standing mirror and I'm not crazy about having mirrors anyway due to feng shui. One thing I hate about travel is poor lighting for make-up. This little make-up mirror has great lighting & magnification. However, the mirror itself is very small & is hard to see ones whole face on it.

Okay first thing.I wouldn't call this mirror a 'compact' mirror by any stretch of the imagination. It is about the size of a large adult hand. It comes with a carry bag and a cord to charge it via your computer or laptop which is awesome. Great to finally have a chargeable travel mirror. The only thing I wished they would have done was put a low charge indicator on the mirror somehow. There is no warning that your mirror needs charging. It is bright and a second later it just will shut off. Does not let you know that the mirror is almost out of charge. The mirror is bright and perfect folding for travel. I just charge mine every few days. Would recommend to anyone; it’s better then replacing batteries like the old model used.
