Drill a hole in a car?

The seller sent the goods quickly. Good network quality. However, the description should state that to install the net in the trunk, you MUST drill two holes in the car with a drill.

Pros
  • Strong finish
Cons
  • Neutral

Difficult to install on truck bed and tailgate accessories

Based on the product I'm assuming it was made for the 2021 Sonota but guess what? No it was not. So I had to figure out how to install it and the network setup took almost 45 minutes! Aside from the installation, I am satisfied with this product.

Pros
  • Easy to read control panel
Cons
  • Not as good as advertised

Great fit/confusing instructions

Perfect match for my 22 year old Sonata N line. Yes, you have to drill, but really only to make the existing holes in the car a little bigger so that the screws can be screwed in. I'm not sure why the instructions said to partially detach the weather panel/moulding in the trunk. That was not necessary. Also, to remove the clamp, I simply bent the tines of the old fork into a small V and that worked great to loosen the bottom two clamps.

Pros
  • Easy to use
Cons
  • Some little things

Perfect fit for the 2021 Sonata Hybrid

Larger than the ones that come with the car, this net is for better storage and flexibility. Installation took about 10 minutes as the Sonata 2021 does not come with the mounting hardware installed. The lower brackets are simply unscrewed and very easily replaced with the supplied lower brackets, 30 seconds maximum. Longer-duration top mounts require you to use a drill and anti-rust gasket to install the top mounts. You must be able to drill into your vehicle's chassis to install them. If not…

Pros
  • Understandable even for the old one
Cons
  • Not sure

It's easier than some imagine.

People complain about having to "drill a hole in the car". No, you don't drill a hole, you pull out the fasteners and rub the current hole a little more, calm down. It is not necessary to remove the rubber seal as described in the instructions. Just pull out the fasteners and drill a larger hole. The lower ones are simply screwed on. The only reason for the 4 stars is that one of my threaded hooks had thread damage making it impossible to thread through the hole. I ended up having to get my…
