🚗 EPAuto GP918 (CA8918) Replacement Engine Air Filter for Toyota / Lexus 4 Runner, Land Cruiser, Sequoia, GX470 & LX470 (1998-2009) Review

Fits my Sequoia 03 perfectly. The old Toyota one was so dirty I immediately felt more power and a smoother ride. It's too early to talk about long-term performance tomorrow, but the quality seemed good. I have a little doubt that I won't be using OEM parts, so I'll have a little faith. At this price I will definitely switch more often, especially after the dusty 4x4 trails in California.

Perfect for my 2001 Toyota Tundra V8. I used a K&N oil filter because I live on dirt roads but got tired of cleaning it. Also, after 150,000 miles, it wasn't as clean as it used to be. My gas mileage went down (I know it's an old truck) but when I put this filter in it went up about a half MPG. At this price I won't go to K&N again, even if I change the filter more often because of the dust on our roads.

Purchased for my 2004 GX470. It fit perfectly and I saved $50 by doing it myself instead of the dealer. Search "How to change the GX470 air filter" on YouTube. There is only 1 video. All others show how to replace the CABIN FILTER located in the glove box. This is the ENGINE AIR CLEANER under the hood. To access the air filter you must unscrew 2 10mm nuts and loosen 4 snap clamps. It takes about 10 minutes to complete the work.

I ordered this because it looked like it was an OEM product - and now it could be. But I read enough reviews of various air filters and was warned to pay attention to the cheap fakes, most often made in China. (I have no problem with quality products made in China, but I want products that are actually good quality). So when it arrived it looked like an OEM filter but was made in China. Furnished. it looked like an OEM product. I think time will tell!

I do all normal car work and most repairs myself. With 5 cars on the road (all high mileage) I prefer to keep a small supply of consumables. I can get them at the best price and also have them in stock. I have switched to EPauto air and cabin filters for all my vehicles. I was very pleased. The fit was perfect in every way. The media appears to be as dense as the OEM and the lifespan is the same. I'm not worried about using these filters and I know I'm saving money every time I touch them.
