In this case, low price = low quality and poor fit.

Same length and width as factory filters (Honda Pilot 2015) but not as thick/tall. It "fits" edge to edge, but I'm not sure if it properly compresses the case lid when closed and not allowed to get dirty. Unfortunately, I couldn't look inside when the case was closed. Lower height = significantly less filtering area, doesn't last as long or filter over time even when properly sealed. Clogged filter = better fuel economy, this thinner filter is more likely to clog before the normal service…

Pros
  • Robust construction
Cons
  • Not as thick as other filters

Takes 5 minutes, I change it annually (<5,000 miles)

Don't pay your dealer to replace your engine air filter or cabin air filter. If you've ever held a screwdriver in your hand, you can do it yourself in five minutes or less (and you don't need a cabin air filter screwdriver). Tip: DO NOT remove the screws from the plastic case (so you don't drop them into the engine bay). Once they are completely unscrewed, leave them in place and lift the top of the plastic housing just an inch or two so you can unscrew the old filter. It's so easy and…

Pros
  • Very affordable

  • Unsafe

Great replacement for my 2008 Honda Odyssey.

I recently realized that I hadn't changed the engine air filter on my 2008 Honda Odyssey in several years. I checked my file on the car and it was 6 years old! The new filter is really well made and looks very similar to the OEM filter. The only crap is the Honda Odyssey, you have to open the airbox by undoing 4 screws on the box - it's a pain as one of them is covered by a positive battery wire and one sits pretty low in the back of the engine bay. On my other machines everything is much…

Pros
  • High marks for support and durability from testers
Cons
  • Update availability

This air filter choked the engine in our Honda!

At first glance this filter looks great. Positive reviews, it looked great straight away and definitely a perfect fit, at least we thought so. After riding with this filter for months - fewer rides during the pandemic, it took longer to find out the problem was in the filter - we found that the filter was preventing the engine from getting adequate airflow! Reduced mileage, engine quickly warms up due to stress due to lack of inflow. I took that filter out and put in a Honda OEM filter and the…

Pros
  • Ideal for outdoor activities
Cons
  • boring packaging
