Bargain good for filter

In my opinion the quality of this filter is as good as Toyota. The filter area - the number of folds seems to be the same. The soft foam frame fits snugly into the 2012 Prius body and is snug. At Walmart, the one in the orange box was $22 compared to $9 for this one. I write the installation date and mileage along the edge with a marker. On my Prius I change them every three years (40,000) although they still don't look dirty. The exchange takes only two minutes.

Pros
  • This is amazing
Cons
  • Working speed

Good filter for spare parts

Perfect for my 2011 Prius Series 2. Obviously you're just slipping, it's very simple. I don't think there is a big difference in mileage. Mainly because of the way the Prius works. Does the engine cut out frequently, just helping to charge the battery and maybe little to no driving? Lol I don't quite understand how this all works. But it's not like a regular car where a new filter can make a decent difference over a used old one. In addition, the aerodynamics are very good, so the car sometimes

Driven over 3,000 miles - no problems

Great filter! Needed a new air filter and cabin filter before the trip - 3,172 miles total. (Many trips in six days.) When ordering, I was concerned about the quality - how well the filter would be made. Will it be thin and fragile? The box arrived before ETA (great!). I removed the dirty Toyota brand filter and compared it to a new EPAuto filter. The quality, material and weight are the same, and the EPAuto brand looked better. From New Orleans (under 0 feet) to Alpine Peak (11,796 feet), I…

Don't buy OEM.

I compare this to Toyota OEM which can be bought for around $20. Looks good until you compare it next to OEM. The original has many more creases, and more importantly, the original's creases are about half an inch longer than hers. This. They are about 1" tall and OEM are about an inch and a half. The surface is therefore significantly larger with the OEM than with this one. It is also written to change every 12,000 km. I can tell you that I did 30k on my original and it was still good and my…

Cheaper today, more expensive at the pump.

This filter was perfect for my 2014 Prius V, appears to be well made so no complaints. However, I foolishly ignored a couple of reviews that mentioned mileage, assuming they were crazy, picky or something. Long story short, I lost about 3 mpg absolutely, with the only change being replacing that filter and the cabin air filter. I replaced both filters with old, very clogged Toyota filters (bought the car a few months ago, the first owner apparently never changed them) - especially considering…
