Used to place an iron on a shirt. not suitable for shirts because you need to mount shirts horizontally due to the layout of the plate. The time and temperature buttons are easy to use. Warming up takes 5 to 10 minutes. You will see the temperature slowly rising. The arm locks and unlocks easily, swings left and right quite a bit. You could probably do 360 if it weren't for the power cords. Check out what I think I had to do to manage it. As for the tech, be sure to check out the YouTube video.

Very small pressing area.

Well if you are a first time buyer like me then size is VERY important. I thought oh no big deal I'll just take the small one as I've never used one. 9X12 is a lot smaller than you think. I was trying to make some shirts and sweatshirts in my husband's business sizes XL-2XL. I had a hard time centering the clothes on the base as the clothes don't have much room to move when pressed. Any item, no matter how many times I measure and measure again, we are crooked. The top plate and arm fold outโ€ฆ

UPDATE: Broke in less than a year. A bit small but works great.

Update: Less than a year later it broke! I finished ironing the shirt as I have done hundreds of times this year. I had to flip it over so I lifted the top of the press, tried to move the top to the side and the top of the press literally fell off with broken cables. I absolutely hate that I wasted my money and wish I had gone with a higher model. I've kept these abs at #1 most of the time I've owned them without moving them from place to place. There doesn't seem to be any logical reason forโ€ฆ
