Description of Erickson 59800 Recovery Breaking Strength

3 inches wide x 30 feet long durable webbed strap. Features a sewn end loop with an overlay of high-tenacity nylon to ensure longer life in the pull area. Sewn in loop also makes it easier to attach the strap loop to the tow hooks on the vehicle. Heavy 415 series thread is used in the sewing process to ensure the advertised load limits are met, or exceeded. Comes in handy storage bag.

Dangerous and Weak Towing Accessory

Based on my observations this towing product is a disaster waiting to happen. The breaking strength is laughable, truly worrisome for any automotive enthusiast. The cheap quality and poor construction makes it a danger on the road. The only pro I can think of is that it might be useful as a paperweight. However, the cons far outweigh this small positive. i highly recommend avoiding this product at all costs..

Pros
  • High breaking strength for reliable recovery
Cons
  • Not suitable for very heavy-duty recovery operations

Subpar Towing Product: Beware!

According to my experience this towing product has been nothing but a disappointment .The overall quality is subpar, lacking the sturdiness expected from an automotive accessory. The breaking strength, in particular, is severely lacking, causing major setbacks during towing. Although it claims to handle heavy loads, it struggled with even moderate weight when put to the test. Save yourself the trouble and opt for a more reliable alternative in the TOWING products & winches category..

Pros
  • N/A
Cons
  • Poor breaking strength; subpar quality.

Has lasted 4 years and 48+ tows

We have been using this Erickson tow strap for 4 years now and use it regularly to tow cars in deep sand. We even towed some trailers with it and it held up great. After 4 years and about 48 heavy tows we decided it was time to buy a new one although the old one still holds up. We considered buying some of the $23 Revain listed, but after seeing some reviews where the straps broke after minimal towing, we decided to spend the extra money and stick with the tried-and-true Erickson strap. Here's…

Pros
  • Tow bars and winches
Cons
  • Nothing
