The part you press is flush with the switch body so when you press the button your finger also rests on the switch body and limits how far you can press.

First tested on a small DC power supply. The LED lit up fine, but I couldn't get power when I pressed the button no matter how I connected it. The LED would burn out under 3V in about a minute or two.

This switch is actually a micro designed for very small components and not for triggering or beeping as it doesn't use the right size wire for mounting can, only size 28 wire or wire wound type, the picture will give a false illusion.

I bought 2 of these in different colors and just bought the 3rd. They deserve a higher rating, they are exactly as advertised (12mm), bright, have an o-ring and I have tested them at +/- 1.5v of the advertised voltage and they are fine. Use them on lightsabers. I will buy more.
