Nice reliable switch.

This is a good heavy duty switch that can be operated with gloves. It has a good latch/click when on or off. ****Not all wiring photos provided by customer are correct! **** I've seen a few wrong ones. If you're not sure, go to the Carling website and look at the schematics. I have a set of these switches that have been fitted to one of my cars for about 8 years and they still work great. I wouldn't put a full 20A on it, but I'm comfortable with 10A just because I have no idea who.

Decent quality switch, my only concern is the LED lights are the opposite of what is used on boats. The bottom LED will illuminate when the switch is normally on, and the top LED will not normally illuminate until the instrument gauges illuminate. With this switch, the bottom LED is used to illuminate the instrument and the top LED turns on. I opened the switch and reconnected it for normal operation on the boat. The contacts look silver plated and are a decent size so should last a long time…

I can't read the label on the switch at night.

The switch label cannot be read at night, regardless of whether the instrument panel light is on or off, or the switch is on or off. The bottom LED on the switch is just a light that illuminates when the dash lights are on. The text saying what the switch is for is between two LEDs, so you'll have to turn on the lights at night to read the label on the switch you're looking for. Good switch, look for the correct missing schematic!

This is a good (universal) switch, but it cannot compete with original switches in terms of compatibility. Don't get me wrong, it's well made and works well. The only thing is that it stands out quite a bit compared to the native switches. This is normal, the value point is very high.
