    Used them to make a custom tailgate lock for my truck.

    They are sold as power door locks but work great as a power trunk lock. Got in easily and works great. The application only required one drive, so I have a spare drive if needed.

    Easy to install and works like clockwork

    The driver's side power door stopped working so I bought this kit. I only needed one, but figured backups might come in handy. It took 10 minutes to install and I can relock my doors with the push of a button! I'll definitely check it out again in a few months, but the actuator price is the best on Amazon or other online stores, so I think it's worth it!

    Maybe not strong enough. If your locks are tight.

    Although I didn't use them for their intended purpose, they were NOT strong enough to activate the locks on my Toyota Sequoia. You would be BIG at something with little or no resistance. They are fast but very weak. They also do NOT have a built in stop. You'll overheat them if you hold the button down for too long! I was able to get them to work but I had to use 2 of them, one to push and one to pull. I used them to make a remote switch to open my tailgate on a Sequoia 04. It requires no more…

    Fairly durable for extreme use

    I have used them as motors in a robotic drummer. As you can imagine, this application required these motors to be driven very quickly and continuously. I figured that most likely these car door locks wouldn't work because they weren't really designed for that kind of function. I bought them because they were cheap and I was just trying to build a working proof of concept model before investing in more expensive components.
