Miter Cutting Vise - VIS-550.00 (Enhanced for SEO) Review

My classmates always borrow my vise for jewelry/metalworking class. When I need to cut metal at a precise angle, this is my go-to tool.

Great tool! Cutting to get a straight edge on the wire is now much easier. It saves me so much time. It also makes 45 degree angles.

This tool had some surface rust when I received it. I had to disassemble them and clean them of rust with a brass brush. Everything seems to be working fine now. The last photo was taken after rust removal.

Item looks good until you look closely, one side of the vise is not flush when tightened. When I took it apart you could see that one of the bolts was not centered and eventually failed. Do not buy this product.

Considering the price I was pleased to see that the overall quality seemed good but I tested it for squareness and was very disappointed. Considering this is a jig that should make a square cut, I think the surfaces should be perpendicular to each other.

This tool makes wire edge grinding MUCH easier. I don't know why I didn't buy it sooner. I never straighten the ends and have trouble getting the solder to flow properly. Now I have perfect edges and easier soldering.

I ordered it despite common sense not advising me to do so. Not only was it late, all I received was a box, a zip-lock bag and a measuring stick. No second rod, no vise, I mean come on. How does this happen? I have requested a replacement but now I have to wait 5 days after my original order was already delayed. I will change my star rating when a replacement arrives if the quality is satisfactory

I doubted how "cool" that would be. I mean everyone just complimented it and I thought for the $ I just use the file. Well, after using it once on my first ring made with it, I wanted to kick myself! All that time wasted trying to get it EXACTLY, AAAA. It's over! This miter jigger saves time and effort which still saves money in the end. So stop waiting and just buy it now!

This cutting attachment is not of very good quality. I expected it to be decent for the price I paid. I would have happily waited and spent more money on a better one, but I needed it in a hurry.
