I really don't know what happened to them. But both turned out to be insane after several rides. One was even wrapped in a sweater. It doesn't have the "plastic that tears" like the standard bag that comes with the Squeeze, and it has hanging holes so you can install a hanging filter. Very good. If I had to remodel I could go with a bigger bag but it would weigh more.

They are much better quality than anything REI and will last you through your hikes. In my experience they can be compressed daily without tearing. Nothing to improve, they did it.

I used this with my Sawyer Products SP103 Mini Water Filtration System, Single, Orange after reading his reviews that the Sawyer bladder was not only a bit small but also not very durable. Described as a big upgrade with a small price tag, this chamber is perfect for the Sawyer filter thread. When I travel I usually take three of these 900ml bags: one for a Sawyer filter (the threads match perfectly), one with a hose from a Platypus Hoser -Tank (the threads also fit) and one to change when the pot is empty. The Evernew soft bottle differs from the Platypus soft bottles in that the cap stays on the bottle while you drink from it or fill it up. I have almost all types and sizes of Platypus Softwall Bottles from 16 oz to 2 liter versions including Plus Bottles! I also have push/pull and locking caps on the Platypus - and the problem with both is that the caps can get lost, especially the locking cap as it can get lost when you take it off to fill or drink. .
