Big doesn't mean big. My foot is 9.5 and these socks were too small (and yes I've worn compression stockings before and I know they're supposed to be tight but I couldn't get them on at all). I have been wearing compression stockings (Dr. Scholls and Futuro) for about a decade now. They are MUCH more flexible than this product but deliver the same level of pressure. They're almost impossible to get on and off even though I ordered the large ones (and my other brands are a mix of medium and large). Of course, if you need to purchase this order at least TWO sizes larger than you think necessary, this could affect the fit or functionality in some other way.

They are very, very hard and tight. I couldn't put them on myself and needed someone else's help to put them on me. I wore them for 24 hours and had to take them off because the places where we couldn't work out the crease were causing pain. What they actually caused was a bruise or "decubitus ulcer" that took several days to heal. Maybe a larger size would be better; I wear US size 13 shoes so extra large socks usually fit. These are durable, attractive and perfect for extra comfort with sore or swollen feet. My husband is 6ft and they come down to his knee so it is very comfortable to wear a very large support sock.
