I've only been cycling for a year and I've learned a lot by "doing". trying out certain driving techniques and understanding what works and what doesn't work, making adjustments to your driving behavior and then seeing if things got better or worse etc. It was the same when I found out what was going on behind me. .First I had a mirror that could be worn on the wrist with a velcro strap.
