EWOS Universal Control Samsung Buttons Review

Arrived in soft packaging which was OBVIOUSLY opened. The base of the remote control was crushed and the plastic was broken. AA batteries will NOT fit in the back as the slots are too small to even try. STAY AWAY. We'll get the scrap back tomorrow.

This remote control is an OEM replacement. The backup line of sight cannot be obstructed for it to work. I have a soundbar next to the receiver lens that worked fine with the OEM remote, but I have to get up and get close to the TV for the replacement remote to work.

Very easy to set up and use. The one I had with the TV had voice control but we didn't use it so there's no loss in that. The Netflix and Revain Prime buttons below don't work for some reason and I'm not sure why, but both functions are easy to use even without those buttons, so that's not a problem either. Overall happy with the purchase for the price.

Not as good as the original Samsung remote. Sure it helps, but it seems cheaper. My original remote control was not supposed to be in line of sight of the TV. This one does. It might not seem like a big deal, but it's annoying. The puppy chewed the original. If she gets these, I'll spend a little more to get a Samsung remote. It's good for the price, but the quality isn't the same.

I was really surprised that it actually works out of the box. Insert batteries and voila, my Samsung Frame is charged. All functions work. I am very, very happy with this remote control and it is worth the small price. I had to replace the original remote because wine was spilled on it and half of the controls burned out. Luckily, my Fire TV remote worked, but I wanted to. OEM replacement.

later It's important to know that you shouldn't expect all the buttons to work like it's a real Samsung remote. My shortcut buttons didn't work and the TV's pairing instructions said to hold the back button and play button for 3 seconds to pair. The mating did not take place. I can access all apps and just turn the TV volume up and down. My lost remote might have controlled my cable box but the TV says it's not a Samsung remote so that feature isn't available.

Bought for a large Smart TV but the Netflix button didn't work on this TV. But the Netflix button on this one works like a peach on our new smaller Smart TV, and since the remote that comes with the latest Smart TV is terribly detailed and impossible in the dark, we happily chose to use this remote for it allow. I ordered a cheaper remote control for the big one. Alright with our binge browsing again. I just want Samsung to make better remotes.

The remote looks almost exactly like the original Samsung remote (which our dog destroyed). Surprisingly there were absolutely no instructions in the kit. As trivial as it may sound, opening the battery compartment wasn't obvious. We ended up opening the console heading for disaster. Luckily, opening the remote gave us clues on how to properly open the battery compartment. We were able to assemble it and put the battery in at the end and it worked!
