Clutches and parts are better than OEM

Fits NA Miata. I installed this on my '95 Miata when the clutch was going soft and the fluid in the reservoir was turning black. I recommend replacing the master cylinder at the same time. Don't forget to bleed the system after you're done, it takes a lot of clutch bleeding to repressurize the system so anyone who bleeds the clutch should get a good workout out of it. Quality part, no problems after 3 months and more than 3,000 miles.

I was worried because I thought it was pretty cheap. I was concerned that this was not a quality item. But I've had it installed for about 3 months now with no problems. The original slave was leaking and the pedal was too soft. I had to keep the brake fluid in the trunk just in case. At the same time I replaced the entire hydraulic clutch system because the fluid was so disgusting and the maintenance of my Miata was neglected when I bought it used. The clutch's new master and slave cylindersโ€ฆ

Cheap junk for clutches and parts

About three months and two thousand miles ago I completely restored the clutch on my '91 MX-5. The only thing that remains untouched is the master cylinder, because it's a 100,000 mile car from A to Z, almost immaculate for its age, and the MC doesn't interfere under the hood. Most of the parts I bought were OEM Mazda, but to save some money I bought this Exedy slave cylinder. Exedy claims they are from Japan, so I assumed they would be, or at least designed there and made in South Korea orโ€ฆ
