Good quality extension cable. Comes in very comfortably, eliminates the need to bend down in unusual positions to read an OBD 2 scanner. Very happy with this purchase, wish I had bought it years ago.

This is my second adapter. The first one works fine for me, I think exactly the same as this one. However, it should be 4 times larger. It protrudes when plugged in, but can be kicked/damaged when getting in and out. This is very inconspicuous and hardly protrudes from the OBD. That's great with one caveat.

This diagnostic tool costs less than a trip to the gas station. He will give you a code and you use google to look up the code and he will tell you what is wrong with the car. You then decide how important it is, whether it's just a sensor that needs replacing or something more serious. You know if the repair can wait a while or if it needs to be fixed immediately.

I ordered extra because it's a round cable, not a ribbon cable. I got a ribbon cable. It seems quite heavy and I was able to get it to work, but it's not what was pictured including the opposite corner as I would like it to be. It's made for a sloppy setup, but functional. For the price it's not a disaster. I just wanted people to know what to get or not, what to expect.

I managed to research on the internet and adjust some settings at home until it could communicate with this personal scanner. It turned out to be as easy as changing a fuse! After it was able to communicate with my personal scanner I knew it was fixed and the runaways were gone! This scanner saved me hundreds of dollars by not having to take it to the store for repairs. I would probably pay for unnecessary repairs in the process. I am very thankful and happy to have this product!
