Description of External filter ATMAN AT-3338S for aquarium up to 400 liters, 1500 l/h, 18W
- This is my first outsider, so I will describe rather a subjective personal opinion: the filter is quite decent, the plastic does not stink, it is strong. The head mounts grip the basket tightly. Assembly and launch are not difficult (although the first time I made a mistake, filling the basket to the top manually - I had to drain it with the button for pumping). No shamanism with vaseline and silicone was required: everything that should be lubricated by him was lubricated by the manufacturer. Gathered and go! It's been on for over a month now and no signs of leaks. The flow is normal, the water in the aquarium is quite clean, but because I have cichlids, then there is still a small suspension from their digging-dragging of the soil). Many write that it is noisy. But as for me - it's quite normal . A little quieter than a refrigerator. The main thing is to expel all the air from the basket. It works much quieter than a compressor (I have Sera air 275 R plus). Here is the compressor at full load - this is the Tu-95MS on takeoff! Also, a plus in choosing an inexpensive exterior was the fact that there are a lot of spare parts for it on the well-known Chinese site. So the filter is quite repairable.
- I have a few niggles with him: 1. Some oak hoses and they are quite short. On my 300l can, I had to put everything (intake and flute) on one side 2. There are only 3 baskets. The baskets themselves . well, a little flimsy, or something . as it seemed to me. 3. The top grate, which is placed on the last basket, does not fit. Those. does not fit perfectly into some grooves and dangles. But as I understand it, it does not carry much constructive meaning other than protecting the impeller from large particles 4. I do not know how to check, but probably due to the gaps between the basket and the walls of the canister, some of the dirty water will pass back into the aquarium. I'll try to check after the first wash. If so, you will have to shamanize with isolation 5. There are basic fillers, but they are few. Rings are finely porous. One medium density sponge. For normal operation, in my opinion, you have to buy separately. So far, I have bought only zeolite and large-pore rings. But it would be necessary to add more sponges. I think that ideally it is better to completely replace both rings and balls and sponges.
