I bought 1500 feet of this cable and am happy with the quality. Gluing was easy. and does a great job. I went with a thicker cable to last as long as possible.

We have 5 acres for our dogs and our twins, a tiny yellow pet safety wire snapped somewhere. Said due to rain and freezing/warming and standing water. Spring. that was enough! We put it in and we've had more flooding and still no problems.

Excellent perimeter wire to deter dogs. I bought 16 gauge wire and was very pleased with the ease of use. It was easy to unroll and had very thick insulation. I just wish I could get it on a 100ft roll. I used two 500ft rolls and needed a little more.

This is much better than the regular wire they send in the set or the spool you buy at the big department stores. The protective layer is much thicker and of higher quality. The 2000ft reel was also great for getting an endless loop instead of having multiple connections like the first time I buried cables.

The quality of the wire is excellent. Unfortunately the spool that the wire was wound on snapped in the middle so about halfway through unwinding the spool broke in half and I was unable to use the rental car. I had to unwind the spool by hand which was very frustrating. As I said, the quality of the wire is excellent, there was only one problem that the spool broke in half.

We had a 12+ year old Invisible Fence brand fence on a 1/2 acre lot. There were 5 wire breaks in the extension and several long pieces of wire were removed. Used a Kolsol Underground Wire Locator F02 to find breaks and a set of 15 dog fence splices to mend breaks. Also, U-shaped steel anchor pins were used to fix the wire underground. Not as advertised. For the EXTREME wire, all I got was hassle, a waste of time, a loss of a day and a loss of $$$ on rental gear. 20+ containment breaches. Possible manufacturer error but there was no batch number on the reel to at least indicate the supplier. This was for a spool of 16 gauge wire that was 500 feet long. Terrible product and NOT RECOMMENDED.

I just moved into a new house and decided to install my own invisible pet fence again. I bought a spool of this wire when I had a problem with the very small #22 or so wire that came with the fence. It worked well and also allowed me to move into my house. A few years later we moved to a new house and I reverted to this heavier conductor behind the fence.
