Welding is good, but the mounting plate is a little light v

Probably as advertised, but the mounting plate bends during use. I use it as a mounting plate for a 5000 lb winch to pull logs out of the woods. The weld held well, but the plate itself buckled under the weight of the winds.

Pros
  • A lot of positive emotions
Cons
  • boring packaging

The pre-drilled holes were in just the right place

PERFECT! I installed a 2500lb dockside cargo winch on it and it fit perfectly in the pre-drilled holes. Then I popped it into the top of a PowerLift DHE dual hitch extension, also from Revain, and just towed the four wheeler onto the Harbor Freight trailer.

Pros
  • Great for me
Cons
  • weak

Square corners will not fit 1-1/4 mount

This product has square corners that will not fit 1-1/4 mounts from major manufacturers as 1-1/4 mounts are 4 standard inner corners are rounded. Also, the square size is too big to fit in a standard 1-1/4 mount, even if the corners were rounded. If possible I will return; however, due to other projects, found out about it too late.

Pros
  • Few competitors
Cons
  • Almost OK

Great product 👍🏻 - Winch Accessory

I've used this recently and it worked great. I bought a Hi-Tow Dual Hitch receiver (this will be a separate review). I couldn't use the ATV winch mount plate I bought from the docks earlier (the winch also costs 2500 Badlands) but if you can weld or have decent metal drill bits you could probably use both. The distance from the plate to the hitch/receiver is pretty decent. I highly recommend it.

Pros
  • Good item
Cons
  • Unbelievable price

Worked great for dragging my dock!

I was looking to spend $500 to add a winch to my truck, but for occasional use this hitch is perfect. I use it to tow my dock and have a spare battery to power the winch instead of cables. A recommendation would be to buy a winch with a remote switch or long cord switch for safety reasons. Because you can add/remove a winch in seconds with this mount, you don't have the same protection as if you were sitting in your truck.

Pros
  • Still Happy
Cons
  • Damaged

Will not fit a 1-1/4 " receiver

This will not fit the receiver on my Suzuki, my dad's Honda, Reese hitch or Curt or Draw-Tight or U-Haul. That is it's not 1.25" I tried sanding it since someone else had to get them to work and sanding the corners isn't enough. Now I can't get it back and have to grind at least a 16" to pay a little more and get it right, or at least find it doesn't fit and send it back without trying to make it work.

Great mount for those who can't use a traditional frame mount

Even if mounting a winch to a receiver isn't perfect, this plate makes it possible if the need arises. My winch stows in my trunk when not in use and as it was designed to be mounted in the stern at times I needed it this is possible. It does have some wobble, which is what you'd expect from most receiver mounts, although it does move a bit more than I'd like. I would recommend that users buy a receiver stabilizer or use some screws for this purpose. In addition, the presence of a safety bolt…

Pros
  • Cool product
Cons
  • Almost never
