I don't know why but they have discolored my worktop. I can't fault furniture polish or glass polish. So now I have to leave them right where they are. I never would have known, but a few of them were stuck to the beveled glass top and the molding almost disappeared under the upholstery. All in all a great pad set.

Two different side tables have been repaired. Bought a glass panel for one and plexiglass for the other and these bumpers/eyelets to protect the new panels. After several days of checking, dents and stains remain on two countertops. Both will be destroyed. Cannot be washed off with soap and water. Very disappointed. Broken new dresser from Pottery Barn for $1300. DO NOT buy this and play it safe. I bought these bumpers to secure the glass I bought to protect my new cherry wood dining table. At first they seemed fine, then they started cracking and melting under the glass. When I removed the glass to clean it, the remnants of the melted bumper stuck to my table and glass as a thick, clear, gooey substance that doesn't come off until I wipe down the artisan trim. Just left this review. I bought these pads a few months ago and put them on my new breakfast table under a safety glass I bought to protect the surface. "I removed the glass cover today and these pads completely ruined the finish under every pad I've used. It looks like they are "fused to the paint" (see pictures). These bumpers are terrible. We tried replacing the bumpers that fit between the 60", 3/4" glass top and metal base. These bumpers moved and fell off the table a few days later. We tried again. Stupid. The second time around the bumpers did the same, and when we ignored the issue the glass panel started to move. The bumpers left a mess on the top of the table.
